Sauerkraut Festival Vendors
Rain or shine, the 21st Annual Scappoose Sauerkraut Festival will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Heritage Park in Scappoose, Oregon. Once again, we’re planning all day entertainment, lots of good things to eat, cabbage bowling and a sauerkraut eating contest.
After you have read the vendor rules, please fill out the vendor application, attach proof of insurance and a check for fees and return the completed application to the Scappoose Community Club, P.O. Box 933, Scappoose, Oregon 97056. Please keep the vendor rules for your reference.
ATTENTION FOOD VENDORS – due to the exclusivity considerations that Sauerkraut Festival organizers make for food vendors, you are REQUIRED to return you application NO LATER THAN May 1st, 2010, or risk loosing your space and/or preferred menu to another vendor. Returning vendors will be given first right of refusal to return to the festival as well as . However, beginning May 2nd, your space and/or food items may be awarded to another vendor if we have not received your application and booth fee.
If you would like your business to be included in the Festival Guide, your application MUST be received by August 15, 2009. Space at the Festival is limited, so vendors are encouraged to apply early.
If your business is located in the 97018, 97051, 97053 and 97056 zip codes, you’re entitled to a 25% local vendor discount on the actual booth space. Fees for electric and water hook-ups are as shown on the application form. There are no discounts for electric and water hook-up fees.
When your application has been processed, you will receive an acceptance letter from the Scappoose Community Club. If you have any questions, please call Beth Pulito, Festival Coordinator, at (503) 543-8906.
A Note About Proof of Insurance – If you are unsure of how to obtain a certificate of insurance, please contact your insurance agent. You will likely have (3) options – use your homeowner’s insurance, use your business insurance or purchase an event policy. You are required to obtain a rider policy naming the City of Scappoose, the Scappoose Community Club, and Scappoose Sauerkraut Festival organizers as additional named insureds in the amount of $1 Million. You may also contact the Scappoose Community Club’s insurance company (Insurance Services Northwest, in St Helens, OR) to provide you with a one-day policy. Their phone number is 503-397-0123.
